I’m all about them brows!
Recently I got my eyebrows microbladed and I figured since people were asking me privately about my experience that I’d do a blog post about it. I have had two appointments prior to the actual time I went through with it because I was soooooo nervous. I’m a fan of the Botox but a razor slicing my eyebrow area sounded way scarier than risking my face staying frozen!
Here were my questions! I figured if anyone's considering it then maybe my experience can help!
How long does it last? Well there isn’t an expiration date and it really depends on how you care for them and the type of skin you have, how much sun they see… lots of things! I’ve only had them done since July so I can’t give a full review on mine because I’m still in the phase where they’re dark and on point.
Did it hurt? Nope! I will tell you that you can feel/hear her slicing into your skin and the sound makes me cringe but as far as feeling. None!
How much did it cost? I’ve heard this can go from 350+. I spent 450 which included a touch up 6 weeks after my first appointment.
Who did I go to? I went to Melissa Pinon, you can find her on Instagram! I followed a ton of brow girls but I wanted to stay local and Melissa was the sweetest thing! I showed her what I didn't like and what I loved. If there was a problem or concern I knew the best thing for me would be to have someone I could literally drive over to and say help me! I've only bothered her a couple of times to ask about healing.
HEALING?!! I won’t sugar coat the healing process! It blows!!! For me my brows were awesome for almost the whole first week but after that I literally thought what in the EFF did I do to myself?!? They scab and you can’t pick them so I had brow ½ a brow at one point. I was super freaked out!!! About two weeks after I got them done I started to love them again when the scab process was over. Side note, I’ve heard they can turn grey and fade but then they come back dark but mine pretty much stayed dark the entire time. They faded some but nothing crazy. They look more natural that way. The other downside is the touch up in 6 weeks which is another two weeks of healing. BOOOOO!!! But I’m now healed from that process also and I love them.
Do I think it’s worth it? 100%! I’m glad I finally overcame my fear and committed because now I don’t know if I can ever go without! I'm hooked!!!
Side note: If you need an additonal touch up because you like your brows DARK, then she offers discounted touch ups for 1-6 months, and then 6-12. If you have any other questions, ask away! |
