Oh no she didn't!!
Hi my name is Melissa and I’m a 35 year old student! I’m not changing careers or anything, just finishing what I started. I’ve always worked part time since I had the boys because I wanted to be as hands on as possible. Dennis and I have always volunteered at their school and now that they’re in junior high, they don't need us at school. That has opened some time up for myself. I really had a hard time last year trying to figure out what I was supposed to do next. I’m always going to be their mom and they NEED me everyday just not at school anymore. I was devastated, NOT GOING TO LIE. I realized, maybe it’s time to start doing something!! Why not further my education. I mean I may or may not succeed and you can root for or against me. I have a million doubts about myself and if I fail which is a very big possibility, at least I tried. What I love about this post in particular is that all the pictures were taken by one of the twins and the other twin held the props. (The backpack is Dennis' from high school & the book is my sisters! Ha!)
*UPDATE*
I made it through the first week!!! I only cried 15 times but I'm not giving up! I'm rusty! It's been 10 years since I've been in College!! As I sat at the table crying like a baby because I made flashcards and studied them for two hours to realize that wasn't even what I needed to memorize and my kids just encouraging the hell out of me. If you're a mom with teenagers then you know how special and sincere it is to have your kids rooting for you! I won't give up because I never want them to! It's what my parents have taught me and what I'll teach them. In school and just life in general. LIFE can suck hard!!! But I won't let it beat me! God's got this!
